I figured it's about time...

So...I've been a big myspacer for several years now, but never got into the blog thing. I thought about starting a blog a few times, and had even set up this account, but never went anywhere with it. After hearing some friends talk about their blogs today, I decided now is the perfect time to get ours going. In only 8 days (I've been counting down from 100!) we are moving back home to San Jose, California after spending the last few years in Mobile, Alabama. As excited and grateful and happy as I am to be moving back to California, I am also sad to be leaving the new friends I've made during our time in the South. I'm hoping this will be a way for us to keep in touch. We are so fortunate to live in these latter days where technology can help people stay connected!

We're pretty much ready to go...the house is just about packed & we're working on the last few things in the fridge and freezer ;). Moving is a pain, but knowing that we can "plant some roots" and not have to move again (atleast not across the country and/or every three years) makes it all worth it. Ben's dad gets into Pensacola this Wednesday, and Evie and I fly out the following Monday. My mom and mother-in-law fly in to San Jose on Tuesday to help me get the new house ready (painted) before Ben & his dad get there with the furniture. I also have my dad, stepmom, two brothers, a sister-in-law and my friend Jenn to help out. We are very lucky to have so much help!

We also have a trip planned for Yosemite April 17-18. I LOVE Yosemite, and can't wait for Ben's parents & my bro Jesse to see it (they've never been). It is awesome! I'll definately post some pics.
